Arsenal Prepare £9.9m Bid for Valdes

According to Italian source TuttoMercato, the London side are preparing a €11.5m (£9.9m) bid to sign Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes.The 31 year admits he wishes to leave the Nou Camp and has made it clear he will not sign a new contract. Valdes’s current deal ends in the summer of 2014.
Keeper Wojciech Szczesny form has been a main concern for Arsenal lately and their defense have been shaky all season. . Valdes’s current deal ends in the summer of 2014 and with Boss Arsene Wenger promising to splash cash in the coming transfer window, a move is very likely.
Valdes is in his 11th season for Barcelona first team and has made 491appearances for the club , collecting a host of honors in that period including five La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies.
