Rami rules out Arsenal Switch

Arsenal target Adil Rami has brushed of rumors suggesting a move to north London by openly declaring he is happy at his current club Valencia and suggested that he will sign a new deal soon.

The French centre-back was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal last summer. Russian outfit Anzhi Makachkala were also rumored  to be interested in his signature.

Rami told French TV station Canal +: “There’s an offer from Valencia to extend my contract, and I feel good here.

“The most important thing for me is to be a first-team regular, which is not the case for all my rivals for a place in the French national team.”

Arsenals defense has been very poor this season with Laurent Koscielny  continiuosly struggling to keep fit . Per Mertesacker and Thomas Vermaelen have been the main central-defensive partnership this season but have been less than convincing to say the least.
