Luis Suarez Brushes Away Liverpool Exit Talk
Liverpool goal-poacher and Uruguayan international Luis Suarez has rubbished away rumours he is set to make an exit from the Merseyside giants come the summer.
Suarez, 27, has been nothing short of masterful in his season with Premier League giants Liverpool, scoring no less than 30 goals and notching in an impressive 21 assists for the Reds in his 31 league appearances so far.
Such blazing form has helped Liverpool catapult their status back as one of England’s elite, with the club now poised to win their first domestic top-flight title since 1990.
Of course, such prolific talent can only garner admirers from the rest of Europe, with high-flying Real Madrid Suarez’s most high-profile suitor.
But the Uruguayan target man has moved to quash the on-going speculation surrounding his future at Liverpool, speaking with Canal 10: “Don’t worry, nothing is going to happen.”
Suarez adds: “I’m very happy here [at Liverpool] and my family is happy here.”
Whether or not Los Blancos will be rebuffed by Suarez’s public pledge to stay at Anfield, however, remains to be seen.
Suarez’s contract with Liverpool is set to expire in 2018.
