Liverpool are into the transfer markets to end their misery!

Liverpool Want To Sign Maxi Pereira From Benfica To Finish Their Defensive Troubles

Liverpool recently sold one of their best defenders Daniel Agger. Daniel was sold to the Danish club Brondby. He is Danish himself and he loved to move back to his home country. They replaced him by buying Southampton’s best defender last season, Dejan Lovren. Dejan hasn’t been a big hit at the club and Brendan Rodgers was thinking that he was going to be a big success. He has often been used as a sub at the club. The other defenders include Martin Skrtel, Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho. None of them have given consistent performances and Brendan is worried about the quality of his main center backs. Simon Mignolet was also signed as their new goalkeeper but with bad defenders, he can’t stop all of the shots from going into the back of the net. This is why Liverpool are looking to sign Maxi Pereira. He is available for only £4m and the Liverpool bosses will make sure to capture him in the January transfer window. The Benfica defender can also play as a right back and he will be a good replacement for Glen Johnson.

Man Utd Target Will Not Be Sold

Although Atletico Madrid have recently clarified that their main defender is not for sale, Man Utd will do everything to sign him. Godin even has a buyout clause of £28.5m and the club has reiterated that he will not be sold for anything less than that. Money is not a problem at Old Trafford these days. Some reports suggested that the Manchester United manager has been given an unlimited budget to sign quality players for them. They really need good defenders and fast. Last night they played against Southampton with three defenders. The youngster Paddy McNair, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo were playing as the three center backs. Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia were playing as wing backs. Chris Smalling had an injury in the start of the match and he had to be replaced with Jonny Evans. So we can clearly see that the injury problems at Manchester United are not over. Michael Carrick at one point in the match had to play as a center back. Manchester United will need defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window and Godin is a possibility. Even if Atletico refuse to sell him, Manchester United will try to go for either Mats Hummels or Ron Vlaar of Aston Villa. Joao Miranda is also a Brazilian center back that plays for Atletico Madrid and he is also a reported target for Manchester United.

Liverpool Are Considering Replacing Balotelli With Either Berahino Or Diafra Sakho

One thing the world of football has learned is that you can never ever replace a world class player. Manchester United learned that when they sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid. They never got to replace him with a world class winger that scores 50+ goals in a season. They thought Luis Nani would mature into a future Ronaldo but they were wrong. Arsenal sold Thierry Henry to Barcelona and since then they have never had a world class striker at the Emirates Stadium. Liverpool sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona and now they know they have made a big mistake. Suarez was the one that led them to the Champions League last season. They thought they could replace him with someone like Balotelli. Everyone said in the start of the season that Liverpool had made the buy of the season with Balotelli’s capture. He was bought for only £16m from AC Milan and Milan were more than happy to sell him for such a low fee. Brendan Rodgers thought he was going to turn his career around and he would be scoring just like Suarez. Their other main striker Daniel Sturridge has been out with an injury for most of the season. It was all up to Balotelli to get Liverpool back to winning ways but he has failed. He hasn’t scored a single goal in the league. He has only scored once in the Champions League and once in a cup match. Now Liverpool are looking to sell Balotelli to any potential buyers and buy Saido Berahino from West Bromwich or Diafra Sakho from West Ham United. The Porto striker Jackson Martinez is also on the Liverpool radar but he will cost more. Martinez will cost around £30m whereas Berahino or Sakho will only cost around £10m.
