Liverpool legend to Manchester City; McCarthy to Arsenal
Gerrard Coming to Manchester?
The Liverpool legend has long been a player for the Merseyside team. The club gave him a chance when he was young and he didn’t betray their trust. He has been an absolute beast of a player for Liverpool and people will never forget his heroics in the FA cup final against West Ham United. Liverpool fans also love him because he won them the Champions League final in 2005 when they were three nil down and won the match on penalties. Now it seems like his time is up at Anfield. The Liverpool captain has been reluctant in signing a new deal. The reason might be that Liverpool isn’t a big club anymore. It can’t retain good players and it certainly can’t challenge for the title. Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez were fit last season and it was because of them that Liverpool were challenging for the title. Now Suarez has left for Barcelona and Sturridge is out injured. Balotelli hasn’t scored a single league goal for Liverpool. Manchester City will try to sign him at the end of the season because he is still a quality player. With the combined midfield of Yaya Toure, Lampard and Gerrard, every Premier League club will fear Manchester City.
Arsenal In For Ipswich Defender Mings
Arsene Wenger is going to try to sign Matts Hummels in the January transfer window. But it now seems like Manchester United will out muscle them financially to sign the German defender. Louis van Gaal needs defensive reinforcement in his team and he will move heaven and earth to sign the defender. Whereas Arsenal want to sign him as a back up to Mertesacker and Laurent. This is why they are looking at alternatives and will try to sign Tyrone Mings from Ipswich for 8 million pounds.
Arsenal Also Looking To Sign Cristian Ladesma
Arsenal are looking to sign a defensive midfielder in the January transfer window. Both of their star midfielders, Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta are out injured. They are lacking a good defensive midfielder that could hold the ball and be a good cover for the defenders. This is why they are looking at Lazio’s Cristian Ladesma. The 32 year old Argentine midfielder will prove his value for money. Aaron Ramsey has not been in his best form recently and this is why Arsenal desperately want a defensive midfielder.
Arsenal Are Lining £16 million For James McCarthy
If Arsenal don’t get their midfielders back from injury until the January transfer window, Arsene Wenger is going to try to sign the Republic of Ireland’s midfielder, James McCarthy. James McCarthy is 24 years old and he will only improve with quality players. Some fans will criticize Wenger for not buying top quality players. They will argue that he will waste all of the club’s money on ordinary players. James McCarthy is proving to be a good midfielder but his best performances are still yet to be seen for Everton. If they miss out on James McCarthy, they will look at Newcastle’s French sensation Sissoko.
