Liverpool eye Frankfurt star Zambrano

Eintracht Frankfurt ,the  Bundesliga side have revealed Premier league giants Liverpool FC have enquired about their Centre back Zambrano.

With club legend Jamie Carragher announcing his retirement in the end of the season and  Martin Skrtel’s inconsistent form who is rumored to set to leave Anfield this summer, the Reds are desperate to sign at least one central defender in the upcoming transfer window.

There have been rumor initial talks have been made between the two clubs, but now Eintracht chief Bruno Hubner has come out and confirmed about the talks.

“There is interest from Liverpool in Carlos Zambrano. They have asked about him, but there has not been an offer yet,” Eintracht chief Bruno Hubner was quoted as saying in Daily Mirror.

The Peruvian defender was signed from Schalke as a 16-year-old.The 23 year old has made a total of 21 Bundesliga appearances for the club this season, while also establishing him as a first team regular in the national team.
