Liverpool And Tottenham Eye Ajax Ace Eriksen

Reports suggest Ajax hot – shot Christian Eriksen has emerged as the main summer target  for Premier league giants Liverpool and Tottenham with the two clubs reportedly “scouting him almost every week.”

The Danish midfielder has refused to sign a new contract which expires in 2014. Negotiations are yet to begin, with all parties willing to wait until the season gets over. It is understood Ajax has slammed a £14million price tag for the player who has just one year left on his current deal. However a bid around 10 million would be enough to secure the service of the player.

A senior Ajax source said: “Christian wants to play in the Premier League and we think he will do well there. The club had discussed the option of keeping him until the end of his contract but it makes sense now to sell”.

“Liverpool and Spurs are scouting him almost every week. Arsenals are no longer interested and Man United are not on the scene. The club will not let him go cheaply so there is a long way to go but it seems likely he will move to Tottenham or Liverpool.”
