Lampard to leave Chelsea end of the season?

Chelsea legend frank Lampard is expected to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season and is tipped to join LA Galaxy along with Tottenham striker Defoe after the current campaign.

Peter Vermes  who is the coach of Sporting Kansas City told Sky Sports News that he believes both Lampard and Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe will move to the MLS.

“I see both of them coming. I think it’s going to happen,” he said.

“Frank was linked last year and I think he stayed on because Mourinho was coming back. There’s a good chance he makes the move to the Galaxy.”

Meanwhile reports are circulating Chelsea attacking midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is seeking a move away from Chelsea for Wolfsburg.

But his agent Patrick de Koster has told the Cologne-based newspaper Express that four other German clubs are interested – and has hinted that De Bruyne could be on his way to Bayer Leverkusen.

“Should Kevin be allowed to leave, I will call [Bayer Leverkusen boss] Michael Reschke within 30 minutes. We have an excellent relationship.

“Dortmund, Gladbach, Schalke and Wolfsburg have also been in touch with me. Kevin will take a look at where is best for him.”
