Paul-Georges Ntep could leave Auxerre
A host of clubs in the Premier League and from around Europe have been alerted to the news that promising AJ Auxerre forward Paul-Georges Ntep could be available. The youngster broke into the AJA first team in 2010 having risen through the youth ranks at the Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps and his star performances have caught the eyes of numerous scouts from top teams all over Europe.
Ntep has had a couple of sensational seasons in Ligue 2, making 34 league appearances last season scoring 9 goals, 41% of all of Auxerre’s league goals that season. This year he really seems to have made the step-up in quality , banging in 7 goals in just 17 Ligue 2 appearances.
The 21-year-old’s agent Mario Knez has stated that there have been no bids yet for the player but that Auxerre would not get in the way of any potential transfer. He told TMW: “As the Auxerre president has said, he has not receieved any offers for him. When a footballer is having a good year, Auxerre is open to negotiating. There is no price set at the moment, but the club have proven to be realistic and responsible. Paul is young and strong. It would be a major investment for any club to take him.”
