Montpellier to Land Milan’s Niang for Rest of the Season
Struggling Montpellier are said to be landing AC Milan’s M’Baye Niang on loan for the rest of the season. The teenager was said to be very open to a return to France and as such, has agreed to join the struggling Montpellier team who are battling to avoid relegation.
The U-21 French International has failed to impress in the very limited playing time he has received at the Italian club. AC Milan is certainly not the powerhouse of the Serie A as they once were and they would have hoped the teenager, Niang could be one for the future. The loan move to Montpellier could certainly boost the development of the player and Milan will be hoping he will return a much better player.
Since M’Baye Niang moved from Caen in August of 2012, he has only scored once in 33 games as a striker and that just emphasizes how much he has struggled.
There were other options available to Niang, as he turned down the opportunity to join Lyon and Marseille for 17th placed side in Ligue 1 instead. He is said to be very optimistic about the move and how he can help the team move away from the bottom of the table.
