Man City £40m Offer for Bayern Munich Keeper Manuel Neuer
Man City are said to be ready to make a huge £40m bid for Bayern Munich keeper Manuel Neuer in accordance to the Daily Star.
Etihad Stadium manager Manuel Pellegrini is positive he can attract the German international to the team with the offer of a £105k a week salary, in excess of any other custodian in world football.
Such a transfer would definitely leave England man Joe Hart wondering his future at the club, if he isn’t currently doing so, though the dropped keeper will be between the sticks as Man City take on Bayern Munich upcoming Tuesday night.
Even though Neuer would be provided a bumper pay increase there seems very little reason why the 27 year old would think about leaving such a dominating Bayern Munich side.
Neuer has been in excellent form this term as his Allianz Arena side look set to romp towards an additional Bundesliga title, having conceded just 7 goals in 15 games and opened a big lead at the top of the table.
Pellegrini may be much better served looking at alternate options if he doesn’t see either Hart or Costel Pantilimon as worthwhile first choice solutions.
Perhaps a switch to capture Barcelona’s Victor Valdes is an option as the Spaniard has previously expressed his intention to leave the Nou Camp next summer.
